Rose can intoxicate you with a stark, confessional ballad then turn around and hit you with a raucous, blues-infected rocker about a preacher man named Rufus Morgan. Her self-penned debut, Nanahally River, has many well-respected music journalists using some of their best lines.

Bill Friskics-Warren (Scene) declares, "One of the more luminous--and trenchant--coming-of-age albums to come along in years...a searching song-cycle steeped in mountains, rivers, secrets, and desire".

Clay Steakley (Rage) adds, "With the Outlaws' verve and Loretta's easy grace, Rose draws on her East Tennessee roots and family history, while incorporating an alt-country penchant for distortion and strong backbeats. Her work has the potential to be as long lasting and meaningful as Emmylou or Patsy". Rose toured the UK in 2002 and is currently working on a new project for release in the summer of 2004.
